Meet Our Technicians and Assistants

Caitlin
Veterinary Technician Supervisor/Registered Veterinary Technician
Caitlin is originally from Massachusetts but has called Wilmington home for over 15 years. She pursued a degree in nursing at UNC-Wilmington but quickly realized that although she loves people, her passion is working with animals. She joined the MGAH team in February 2012. Caitlin and her husband, Ryan, have three fur babies, Sampson, a very energetic Jack Russell mix; Gus, a very cuddly cat; and Cricket, a Lab who also happens to be a tennis ball fanatic. She graduated from San Juan College with a degree in veterinary technology and became a registered veterinary technician in 2017.

Jennifer
Registered Veterinary Technician
Jennifer is originally from Virginia but spent most of her life overseas. She graduated from Northern Virginia Community College in 2009 with an associate degree in veterinary technology. She joined the team in June 2017. Jennifer enjoys spending time with her son (Hunter) and dog (Dyna)!

Caity

Ashley
Veterinary Assistant
Ashley grew up in Oak Island, NC, and started volunteering at the local animal shelter. She knew from a very young age that she wanted a career helping animals. Life brought her to South Georgia, and she started out as a kennel tech while there. She moved to Wilmington in 2018 with her foster fail cat, Charles, and just recently rescued a terrier mix named Yoshi. She worked as a clinic assistant for the past year and joined the MGAH team in December 2019. She is currently studying at Penn Foster University to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. She enjoys playing video games and spending time with family.

Shannon
Veterinary Assistant
Shannon is from California and moved to Wilmington at the beginning of 2020. She has studied animal behavior and grooming and has been working as a vet assistant since 2016. She was welcomed to the MGAH staff shortly after moving here with her seven-year-old Lhasa Apso, MJ. In her free time, she loves drawing, reading, and going on road trips.

Jen
Veterinary Assistant

Jen graduated from UNCW in May of 2020 with a degree in anthropology, with minors in French and biology. She remained at UNCW an extra year to complete prerequisites for vet school, which she hopes to attend in the future. She is originally from Apex, North Carolina but moved here for school in 2015. She started working at Myrtle Grove Animal Hospital in November 2018. She has two cats: Mo, who is laid back and quiet, and Artie, who likes to spend his time trying to break into the food cabinet.
