Caitlin, RVT, FFCP

Caitlin, RVT, FFCP

Veterinary Technician Supervisor/Registered Veterinary Technician

Caitlin is originally from Massachusetts but has called Wilmington home for over 15 years. She pursued a degree in nursing at UNC-Wilmington but quickly realized that although she loves people, her passion is working with animals. She joined the MGAH team in February 2012. Caitlin and her husband, Ryan, have three fur babies, Sampson, a very energetic Jack Russell mix; Gus, a very cuddly cat; and Cricket, a Lab who also happens to be a tennis ball fanatic. She graduated from San Juan College with a degree in veterinary technology and became a registered veterinary technician in 2017.

Registered Veterinary Technician

Jennifer is originally from Virginia but spent most of her life overseas. She graduated from Northern Virginia Community College in 2009 with an associate degree in veterinary technology. She joined the team in June 2017. Jennifer enjoys spending time with her son (Hunter) and dog (Dyna)!

Registered Veterinary Technician

Caity is originally from Pennsylvania but has lived in New Jersey, Virginia, and New Zealand. In 2013, she graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal and Poultry Sciences. In 2020, she graduated from Blue Ridge Community College with an associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology. She then became a Registered Veterinary Technician in North Carolina. Caity moved to Wilmington in May of 2020 with her dilute calico, Moana, and her bearded dragon, Norbert. Shortly after, in June, she joined the Myrtle Grove Animal Hospital team. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, reading, crocheting, and spending time with her family.

Registered Veterinary Technician

Jennifer started at MGAH in April 2022 and comes to us with experience in ICU, Surgery, and General Practice. She is a Texas native but got her undergraduate degrees in Biology and Environmental Science from UNCW (Go Seahawks!). A former middle school teacher, Jennifer decided to return to school in 2019 to pursue her passion for animal care. She graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at the Vet Tech Institute of Houston in 2020 and passed her licensing exams to become a registered technician in 2021. She is so excited to be back in North Carolina to spend more time outdoors with her two dogs, Penny and George, and her two cats, Lewis and Abby.

Registered Veterinary Technician

Amanda was born and raised in the Myrtle Grove area in Wilmington, NC. She joined the Myrtle Grove Animal Hospital team in June of 2020. Amanda graduated from Cape Fear Community College with a degree in Veterinary Technology and became a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2021. In her spare time, she enjoys learning and caring for a multitude of houseplants, kayaking, and cheering on her team, the New England Patriots. She is a beach girl at heart and has two cats, Rocky, a tuxedo, and Phoebe, a rambunctious Calico!

Veterinary Assistant

Ashley grew up in Oak Island, NC, and started volunteering at the local animal shelter. She knew from a very young age that she wanted a career helping animals. Life brought her to South Georgia, and she started out as a kennel tech while there. She moved to Wilmington in 2018 with her foster fail cat, Charles, and just recently rescued a terrier mix named Yoshi. She worked as a clinic assistant for the past year and joined the MGAH team in December 2019. She is currently studying at Penn Foster University to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. She enjoys playing video games and spending time with family.

Veterinary Assistant

Stevie grew up in Chenango Forks, NY. She pulled ponies all through high school. Stevie graduated from the State University of New York at Cobleskill with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science. She showed Western Equitation throughout college. Moving to Wilmington in 2020, she joined the MGAH team in April 2021. At home, she spoils two cats named Max and Finn. In her free time, Stevie enjoys going to the beach, spending time with friends, and exploring Wilmington.

Bobbie, FFCP

Bobbie, FFCP

Assistant Veterinary Assistant

Bobbie is originally from Boone, NC, and grew up on a small farm full of beloved dogs, cats, and horses. Her love of animals led her to achieve a B.S. in Zoology from North Carolina State University as well as an M.A. from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where she studied Psychology – specifically animal behavior and comparative cognition. She joined Myrtle Grove Animal Hospital in the summer of 2021 and has since decided to pursue further education to eventually become an RVT. Her family includes two precious Siamese-mix cats, Simon (pictured) and Mattie, and one Doberman-Shepherd dog, Zeppelin. If not working with animals, you will most likely find her reading, knitting, or spending time outdoors.

Assistant Veterinary Assistant

Lea began working at MGAH in the fall of 2020. She was originally born in Caen, France but spent most of her childhood in the U.S. where she grew up in Greensboro, NC. She graduated from Western Guilford High School and is currently a sophomore at UNCW majoring in biology. Lea hopes to go to vet school in the future! A cat named Tinkerbell calls Lea her human but she has had many foster animals over the years who have a special place in her heart. In her free time, she enjoys baking, working out, and spending time with family and friends.
