Veterinary Assistant

We are seeking a professional with a strong work ethic and a passion for veterinary healthcare.

Myrtle Grove Animal Hospital is a full-service animal hospital providing complete surgical, medical and preventative care for cats, dogs, and some exotics.1dditio we offer boarding, grooming, digital full body and dental radiology, ultras und, la therapy, acupuncture, and herbal medicine.

Our Veterinary Assistants are an integral part of our healthcare team. This position includes but is not limited to animal restraint, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, performing laboratory tests using ldexx equipment, anesthetic monitoring, surgical assisting, kennel assistance, and assisting RVTs /DVMs as needed. Applicants m able to lift 45 pounds without assistance.

Kennel Assistant
Are you looking for a place to learn and grow in the veterinary industry? Myrtle Grove Animal Hospital, a Fear Free certified and AAFP certified practice, is seeking a Full-Time Kennel Assistant. We are seeking a professional applicant with a positive attitude and a desire to provide five-star pet care. This position is an excellent step towards a career in veterinary medicine.

Some of the duties of this position include animal care, preparation of meals, walking dogs, administering medications, bathing, nail trimming, animal restraint, cleaning of animal enclosures, laundry, and assisting veterinary assistants, RVTs, CSRs, and DVMs as needed. Applicant MUST be comfortable with ALL breeds of dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, and pocket pets. This position involves a large amount of physical activity, including lifting up to 45 lbs. without assistance. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated and enjoy a busy work environment.
