Dr. Peat received her Bachelor of Science degree in zoology in 1992 and her DVM in 1996 from North Carolina State University. She practiced small animal medicine and surgery and emergency medicine in Fayetteville and Asheville, NC before relocating to Wilmington in 2006. While in Asheville, Dr. Peat also taught at the veterinary technician program at AB Technical Community College. Dr. Peat joined Myrtle Grove Animal Hospital in 2013 after providing relief veterinary services for several local animal hospitals. She enjoys her free time by watching her husband, son, and twin daughters play soccer. She has two dogs, Lucy and Rosie.
